Semarang, August 26, 2025 – The Vocational Language Center (VLC) of the Diponegoro University Vocational School has been officially appointed as an Authorized TOEIC Test Center. This inauguration is the result of a collaboration between the Vocational College of Universitas Diponegoro and PT International Test Center (ITC) Indonesia, which took place on Monday, August 25, 2025.
The Academic Director of Diponegoro University, Prof. Dr.nat.tech. Siswo Sumardiono, S.T., M.T., and the Vice Dean of the Vocational College, Dr. Ida Hayu Dwimawanti, were present to witness the inauguration and formalize the collaboration with ITC Indonesia. The signing of the collaboration document by ITC Indonesia was carried out by General Manager Harry Pratama. During the event, Prof. Siswo mentioned TOEIC as one of the English proficiency tests that students can take as an English certification requirement before they graduate.
The collaboration with ITC Indonesia demonstrates the Vocational College of Universitas Diponegoro’s response to the demands of the global job market. As a TOEIC Authorized Center, the Vocational School can provide its students with internationally recognized English language certification. Unlike TOEFL, which tends to focus on the academic world, TOEIC is an English proficiency certification focused on the workplace. This type of test is suitable for Vocational College students who are expected to be job-ready after completing their studies.
The Vocational Language Center is an RGU of the Applied Foreign Languages Study Program that is engaged in language services. Some of the services offered are foreign language certification, translation, and foreign language training.
