Mojo Village, 28 July 2024 – Ahmad Falah Muttaqin, a student of the Applied Foreign Language Study Program from Diponegoro University’s Vocational School, is leading an innovative program for stunting prevention in Mojo Village. The village, known for its abundant milkfish production, has recorded a decline in stunting rates thanks to the utilization of local potential. To support this success, Falah, who is a member of KKN Team II Diponegoro University 2023/2024, has launched a cooking demo video with English subtitles, specifically for stunting prevention milkfish preparations.
The counseling event and video handover took place at Mojo Village Hall on July 28, 2024, attended by the Village Midwife, Nutritionist, Health Cadre, and late teenagers from the village. This program is part of the implementation of Ceting Pink (Prevent Stunting is Important), which aims to provide education on how to process milkfish into nutritious foods that can prevent stunting.
Falah explained, “With this demo video, we hope that the community, especially teenagers, can better understand how to process milkfish in a healthy and delicious way. The English subtitles are expected to expand access to information and knowledge, not only in Mojo Village, but also in the wider community.”
The program emphasizes the importance of utilizing local potential to maintain the sustainability of stunting prevention. The success of this initiative, according to Falah, relies heavily on the active participation and support of all elements of the community.
This initiative not only highlights students’ skills in foreign languages, but also shows how the combination of education, health, and local potential can have a positive impact on the community. With the spirit of collaboration, Mojo Village provides a clear example that stunting prevention can be achieved by maximizing existing local resources.
