A student of the Applied Foreign Language program made another achievement. Adristi Maharani, a third-year student of English stream, passed the selection of the 2024 Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA).
Adristi will be an IISMA awardee for 1 semester at National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism, Taiwan. She managed to be one of the 2,030 students who passed the IISMA selection for the regular scheme in 2024. Although this year the IISMA acceptance quota has increased by over 50% compared to the previous year, the selection for the exchange program from MBKM scheme remains competitive.
Based on information published by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, there are 2,277 students who became IISMA awardees this year. Of these students, 2,030 students passed through the regular scheme while 247 others passed through the affirmation scheme.
The study program congratulates Adristi on this outstanding achievement. Adristi has continued the baton of achievement for the Applied Foreign Language study program in the IISMA program. Applied Foreign Language students have always passed the IISMA selection since the program was first launched in 2022. In the first year, a student made it to the University of Nottingham while in the second year 3 students made it to universities in Czech and Russia. It is hoped that Adristi’s achievement can inspire other students to follow in her footsteps.
