Shakira Diva Dovendra, a 6th semester Applied Foreign Language student, succeeded in getting the 1st place in the 2024 Vocational School Outstanding Student selection. The Outstanding Student Selection (in Indonesian abbreviated as “Pilmapres”) was held on February 23 2024.
Diva, the nickname of this outstanding student, excelled among 11 outstanding student participants. This cannot be denied because Diva has a multitude of achievements both at national and international levels. He once won the title of Best Idol Look Alike in Absoulute Dance Vol.5 Organized by Ma Chung University 2022 and 2nd place in the Fantoo Global Contest (with Korean Dance Academy). She was also selected as a dancer in the collaborative project in Interdisciplinary art with Dutch artists held by Indonesia and the Netherlands.
The Selection of the Outstanding Student does not only assess students’ GPA, but also looks at other achievements and supporting activities. Achievements and awards covered 35% of the assessment in the selection at the level of Vocational College of Universitas Diponegoro. Other assessments focus on innovative product texts and presentations (35%), English language skills (20%), and national insight (15%).
Diva’s achievement is a relay of achievements for Applied Foreign Language study program students. The students of the study program have been in the top 3 outstanding students at Vocational School level for 3 consecutive years. The previous outstanding students were Audrey Sophia Rekka Kamah (Outstanding Student in 2022) and Rafi Fauzi Wibowo (Outstanding Student in 2023).
