Applied Foreign Language students actively participated in an international conference in Malaysia. Anne Marie, a 2022 student was selected to participate in the Asia Youth International MUN international conference program or often known as AYIMUN.
AYIMUN is an international level competition and conference held to unite young people around the world in order to get to know each other and build good relationships in order to bring good changes to the world. Not only that, AYIMUN is also a simulation model of the United Nations (UN) session for students organized with the aim of introducing how the UN works.
Anne Marie participated in the 13th AYIMUN on January 26-29, 2024 in Malaysia. The 13th AYIMUN international conference program is not funded by AYIMUN but even though the program is paid, the desire for many students to be actively involved is very high. AYIMUN in this period raised four international issues, namely Interpol, UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Fund), UNESCO (The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), and WHO (World Health Organizations). Anne’s participation in the international conference can certainly hone the ability of diplomacy at national and international levels, provide real experience and English language skills that are daily applied in lectures and can increase students’ global insight.
