Semarang – In support of the World Class University vision, the Vocational School (Sekolah Vokasi) of Universitas Diponegoro successfully held the World Class Practitioner 2025 seminar on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Hosted at the Meeting Room on the 4th Floor of Building A, the event carried the theme “From Campus to Global Industry: Strengthening Vocational Competence for a Stronger Indonesia”.
Initiated by the Department of Information and Culture, the event featured Mr. Catur Cahyo Wibowo, S.E., a Senior Manufacturing Engineer from PT. Nike Indonesia – Converse FTW, as the keynote speaker. The seminar aimed to equip students with real-world insights into professional standards and work ethics within multinational companies (MNCs), addressing the high industrial demand for adaptive and globally-minded graduates.
During the interactive session, Mr. Catur shared his 30 years of career experience with top global companies such as Adidas and Nike. He emphasized that surviving in the global industry requires more than just technical skills; it demands flexibility, cross-cultural communication, and foreign language proficiency. He also shared his career philosophy, “Love what you do, create a comfortable zone, and challenge yourself,” inspiring students to step out of their comfort zones.
Through this initiative, the Vocational School aims to produce graduates who are not only job-ready but also highly competitive in the international labor market, aligning with the spirit of “Vokasi Kuat, Industri Hebat, Indonesia Maju”. <>
