Applied Foreign Languages Student Wins 3rd Place in WAMI 2025 Short Video Competition

Semarang, October 25, 2025 — Another proud achievement has been earned by Ashila Aushafa Niigata Denalis, a student of the Applied Foreign Languages Study Program, Vocational College, Universitas Diponegoro. Ashila successfully secured 3rd Place in the Short Video Competition at the WAMI 2025 event, organized by LDK MAJID at Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK).

Themed “Small Acts: Big Rewards,” this competition served as a platform for the younger generation to channel their creativity and spread positive messages through visual media. In the competition, Ashila presented a profound short video highlighting the importance of small acts of kindness in daily life—demonstrating how a single simple action can create a significant impact on the surrounding environment.

Ashila’s work stood out due to its touching delivery, strong narrative flow, and aesthetic visual presentation. Through this video, she aimed to show that every individual plays a vital role in creating change, no matter how small the steps taken may be.

“I wanted to demonstrate that even small actions can have a massive impact, as long as they are done with sincere intentions,” Ashila expressed after receiving the award.

This achievement serves as a testament to Ashila’s dedication to the creative world while reinforcing the image of Universitas Diponegoro students as high-achieving, upright academic individuals who contribute to the wider community.

 

The Head of the Applied Foreign Languages Study Program at the Vocational College, Universitas Diponegoro, Sriwahyuni Istana Trahutami, S.S., M.Hum., also expressed her appreciation for the achievement earned by Ashila Aushafa Niigata Denalis.
