ALTAIR DREAMERS: Applied Foreign Languages Team Wins Silver Medal at the ISIF (International Science and Invention Fair) 2025 Online Competition

Semarang, November 7, 2025 – The International Science and Invention Fair (ISIF) is an annual international competition organized by the Indonesian Young Scientist Association (IYSA). The competition features a wide range of categories for participants, including Mathematics, Environment, Education, Technology, Life Science, Social Science, Physics, Energy, and Engineering.

On this occasion, six students from the Applied Foreign Languages program—Rozan Haidar Ghufron, La’viera Meland Athaya, Ashri Amalia Khairani, Nafisa Naila Rahmah, Irfan Teguh Wibowo, and Ricken Great Emerald Samani—participated in the Education category with a project titled “Developing a Pixel Game to Support Vocabulary Learning for A2 Learners.”

This innovation was designed to assist A2-level learners in acquiring new vocabulary essential for their daily lives. The project was developed as an educational pixel game featuring engaging elements and characters, creating a “fun learning” experience that facilitates the understanding of new words within the game environment.

Through this innovation, the team successfully secured the Silver Medal in the University-level Education category. This achievement would not have been possible without the team’s hard work, the support of their families and the Applied Foreign Languages academic community, and, most importantly, the guidance provided by their supervisor, Alfin Rosyidha, S.Pd., M.A.
