Applied Foreign Languages Program Holds Entrepreneurship Training to Prepare Students for PKM-K

SEMARANG – To equip them with entrepreneurial insights, students of the Applied Foreign Languages Study Program at Diponegoro University’s Vocational School, particularly those in their fifth semester, participated in an intensive “Entrepreneurship Training.” The event focused on strategies to successfully secure funding for the Student Creativity Program in Entrepreneurship (PKM-K). It was held at the Mechanical Design Engineering (RPM) Hall on the Undip Pleburan Campus on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.

Featuring expert speaker Idris, S.E., M.Si., the training carried the theme, “Thoroughly Exploring Product Innovation: The Main Key to Securing PKM-K Funding.” During the two-hour session from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, students delved into the importance of innovation in creating unique products with significant market value. Idris presented a range of effective strategies, from idea generation and market research to structuring a compelling proposal that would stand out for funding from the Directorate General of Higher Education (DIKTI).

This training is highly relevant for Applied Foreign Languages students, as it encourages them to develop a creative and independent mindset alongside their linguistic skills. Entrepreneurial competence is seen as a significant added value for graduates navigating a competitive professional landscape.

The participants’ high level of enthusiasm was evident from the many questions raised during the Q&A session. This event is expected to motivate the fifth-semester students to translate their creative business ideas into solid PKM-K proposals, ultimately fostering a new generation of innovative young entrepreneurs from the Undip Vocational School. <>
